A Faculty Trainer Officer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs for faculty, often focusing on professional development and instructional techniques.
Key responsibilities
- Assessing training needs, developing materials, facilitating workshops, and evaluating the effectiveness of training initiatives.
- Identifying the training needs of faculty, including skill gaps and areas for improvement.
- Creating and updating training curricula and materials, including presentations, workshops, and online modules.
- Facilitating training sessions, workshops, and webinars, either in-person or online.
- Developing effective training strategies and materials that align with learning objectives and learning principles.
- Assessing the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and data analysis.
- Providing guidance and support to faculty on instructional techniques and best practices.
- Working with other faculty, staff, and stakeholders to ensure training programs meet the needs of the institution.
- Maintaining accurate records of training participation, progress, and evaluation results.
Qualification:
- A bachelor's degree is typically required, with a master's degree or advanced certification preferred.
- Prior experience in teaching, training, or instructional design is highly desirable.
- Skills:
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional techniques.
- Proficiency in using learning management systems (LMS) and other training software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
