Job Opening: Creative & Brand Manager

Are you a creative storyteller with strong design skills and a passion for building brands? Our dating app company is hiring a Creative & Brand Manager to help us shape how people see and feel about our brand across Africa and the diaspora.
Role Summary
As the Creative & Brand Manager, you will be in charge of how our brand looks, sounds, and feels. You’ll lead the design and messaging across social media, ad campaigns, emails, videos, and more. You’ll also make sure everything we create is on-brand and connects with our audience emotionally and culturally.
This is not just a design job—You’ll use data, cultural insights, and competitor research to guide the creative direction and make our brand stand out.
Key Responsibilities
As our Creative & Brand Manager, you will:
- Define and manage the brand’s visual identity, tone of voice, and storytelling framework.
- Lead the design and production of creative assets across platforms: ads, social media posts, landing pages, emails, influencer kits, pitch decks, etc.
- Conceptualize and produce short-form videos (15–60 seconds) for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
- Build and maintain influencer partnerships across African and diaspora communities.
- Actively seek out and secure advertising partnerships with relevant brands across Africa and the diaspora.
- Run and manage ad campaigns across platforms (Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Google Ads) and ensure they meet performance targets.
- Create adaptable templates and brand systems that other teams and influencers can use consistently.
- Collaborate with the Digital Marketing Manager to A/B test creatives and optimize based on performance data.
- Lead the development of a brand content library, including user-generated content, success stories, and testimonial reels.
- Conduct ongoing market research on user behavior, competitors, and emerging design/content trends in Africa and the diaspora.
- Design in-app visuals and onboarding screens that foster trust, safety, and cultural resonance.
- Work with freelance creatives (e.g., videographers, photographers) and manage project delivery timelines and quality.
Requirements & Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you should have:
- 4–6+ years experience in a creative or brand design role, preferably with digital products or lifestyle brands.
- Strong portfolio that shows both design ability and storytelling across formats (ads, videos, campaigns, etc.)
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects) or similar tools.
- Solid video editing skills for social content.
- Experience designing for performance (e.g., social media ads with strong engagement and conversion).
- Strong understanding of African and African diaspora culture, with the ability to represent it visually and emotionally.
- Experience conducting or supporting market research to inform content strategy or product messaging.
- Ability to work across time zones and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Experience running and managing digital ads across platforms with measurable results.
