PURPOSE
Under the supervision of the Field Coordinator, the role delivers the timely, effective and humanitarian commodity accountability support to INTERSOS Food Security project.
Responsibilities
- Ensure timely consolidation of beneficiaries’ data in regards to the required commodities, physical confirmation of the quantity & quality of commodity at point of reception and dispatched, and maintenance of WFP commodity inventory for INTERSOS locations.
- Make Food Request and follow-ups of food dispatch, documents receipts and archived all commodity transaction documents in compliance with INTERSOS standards.
- Monitors, tracks and documentation of food commodities from dispatch point to the end user (beneficiaries).
- Identification of issues concerning stock storage, movement, monitoring, tracking and to set up an appropriate system for maintaining commodity report accuracy.
- Ensure strong data control over commodity receipt, waybills, distribution data.
- Establishment of a system for timely submission of accurate commodity reports to WFP/ Donors.
- Establishment of a system to ensure minimization of commodity losses.
- Implementation of WFP and INTERSOS policy on food commodity logistics.
- Establishment of good communication with WFP on commodity tracking, and to effectively identify the necessary requirements for a commodity management system for WFP food basket.
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly plans/reporting of all commodity reports including stock balance, stock receipt, waybills for the donor
- Communicate, exchange information and co-operate with relevant internal staffs and Food Security Manager and Team leaders.
- Training of field staff on commodity tracking and ensure proper analysis of commodity report from the distribution and Warehouse staffs.
- Collection of data on the impact of socio-economic, political and cultural trends on concerned food assistance programme. Maintain detailed and safekeep all stock transactions/data with WFP, and any other duties as assigned by the Food Security Manager.

Position Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Degree/HND/ND (minimum);
- Minimum 2 years of experience from a national-level project implementation position in a humanitarian /recovery context;
- Experience in working in complex and volatile contexts;
- Technical in Warehousing management for food & non-food items (warehouse management, and familiar with In-kind and cash for food);
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities;
- Experience in leadership and problem-solving;
- Fluency in English, both written and oral, including local language an advantage;
- Capacity to adapt to basic living conditions, patience.
- Ability to put up with pressure from government agencies;
- Ability to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines; Strong negotiation skills;
