The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing effective financial strategies, planning and analyzing financial reports, conducting company audits, ensuring compliance, and maintaining bank relationships. He/She will collaborate with the CEO and the executive team to make decisions regarding the company's financial strategy and operations. The candidate will possess a strong background in finance and management.

Responsibilities

• This covers the processing and monitoring of payments and expenditures

• Preparation and monitoring of the payroll system.

• Ensuring that the Bank’s finances are accurate and up to date.

• Ensuring that staff are paid in a timely and appropriate manner and that vendors and suppliers are paid within established time limits.

• Managing and controlling the organization’s finances.

• Supervision of the Accounts Officer

• Preparation of monthly management accounts.

• Preparation of the organization’s monthly bank reconciliations

statements.

• Management of the organization’s debtors and creditors' accounts

Ensuring the preparation of payroll and income tax returns.

• Maintenance of the fixed assets register and safeguarding of the organization's fixed assets.

• Ensuring that the cash book and petty cash are updated daily.

• Ensuring the preparation of daily banking.

• Preparation of monthly reconciliations

• Preparation of Budget

• Financial Planning, MIS, Budgeting, Cash Flow Projections,

• Responsible for ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial data.

• Supervising the filing of statutory returns to regulatory authorities

• Any other duties to meet the exigencies of the service.

• Competencies in IFRS provisions & compliance, Strategic & financial planning, budgeting and monitoring thereof.

• Decision maker, Problem solver, Analytical ability & good numeric skills, including use of automated solutions

• Accountable & responsible, Excellent verbal, team player with good written and oral communication skills.
  

Qualifications

• Minimum HND/Degree in Business Administration/Accounting/Finance
• Membership of recognized professional accounting bodies, ACCA, ICAN, CIMA, and an MBA or Master's degree in any Social Sciences would be an added advantage.
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience
• Knowledge of a variety of industry banking and accounting packages
Microsoft and Windows Proficiency are mandatory.
