About the Role:
A reputable secondary school in Ipaja, Lagos is seeking a dedicated and passionate Business Studies / Financial Accounting Teacher to join its academic team. The ideal candidate should be committed to helping students build a solid foundation in business and financial literacy, with effective classroom management and strong subject expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in Business Studies and Financial Accounting to students (JSS and SSS).
- Design lesson plans and curriculum in line with national educational standards (WAEC/NECO).
- Assess students through tests, assignments, and examinations, providing feedback and support.
- Prepare students for internal and external examinations.
- Monitor and report on student progress.
- Participate in staff meetings, training, and school activities.
- Maintain a disciplined and stimulating learning environment.
Requirements:
- B.Ed./B.Sc. in Business Education, Accounting, or related field (with teaching qualification preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- Excellent knowledge of the Nigerian curriculum and assessment systems.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Passionate about teaching and mentoring students.
- Must reside within or around Ipaja or be willing to relocate.
