Job Title: Business Development & Research Associate
Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos (occasional travel to client sites)
Work Type: Full-time, In-person
Compensation: ₦300,000/month
Purpose of the Role
The role blends strategic advisory with business development and research, making it ideal for someone who is analytical, resourceful, and commercially sharp.
Key Responsibilities
Research, Consulting & Deliverables
- Conduct thorough market and industry research to support business strategy and client projects
- Create detailed business plans, pitch decks, market research reports, and strategy documents
- Provide guidance to clients on business growth, positioning, and structure
- Work with freelancers and specialists (as available) to complete larger projects
- Communicate with clients professionally and effectively to manage expectations
Lead Generation & Proposal Writing
- Source potential clients across multiple industries
- Create tailored proposals for potential and current clients
- Follow up on outreach and close deals
- Track progress in an organised pipeline
Collaborate with Brand Oversight
- Work with the EA to ensure the company website and platforms reflect high standards
- Use provided content/templates to keep LinkedIn and web presence professional
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in research, business development, consulting, or a related role
- Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills
- Proficiency in creating reports, strategy documents, and using research tools
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Must be based in Lagos and able to work from the Lekki Phase 1 office
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
