Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our fast-growing solar energy company. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in identifying new business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth. This role requires a strong understanding of the renewable energy landscape, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to develop and close high-value deals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, pursue, and convert business opportunities in the solar energy sector across B2B and B2C markets.
- Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with company goals and market trends.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, developers, NGOs, and government stakeholders.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and technical briefs to prospective clients.
- Conduct market research to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and competitive landscape.
- Lead contract negotiations and close deals that meet revenue and profitability targets.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure project feasibility and timely delivery.
- Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and stakeholder meetings.
- Monitor sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and provide regular performance reports to management.
- Provide insights to improve product offerings and customer experience based on feedback and market intelligence.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 4–5 years of experience in business development or sales, preferably within the solar or broader renewable energy industry.
- Strong commercial acumen with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent networking, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Knowledge of solar technologies, energy financing models, and regulatory frameworks is a plus.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated, strategic thinker with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Experience working with energy service companies (or solar integrator)
- Familiarity with off-grid, on-grid, and hybrid solar power solutions.

Pay: ₦450,000.00 - ₦600,000.00 per month
