Job Summary
Our client, a leading energy company with a strong footprint in the natural gas sector, is seeking to hire an experienced Business Development Manager to support its continued growth in the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) market. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, managing, and converting a robust pipeline of CNG offtakers into executed Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs). In addition to securing long-term offtake agreements, the successful candidate will drive market expansion through strategic partnerships, lead commercial engagements, and provide actionable, data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Market Development & Strategy Execution:
- Identify, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of CNG offtake opportunities into actionable Gas Sale and Purchase Agreements (GSPAs).
- Expand market presence through the identification and pursuit of new opportunities across the natural gas value chain.
- Execute strategic plans by translating agreed market strategies into tangible actions and measurable outcomes. Provide insights on market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic business decisions.
Business Development & Sales Delivery:
- Lead prospecting and opportunity identification efforts to drive new business acquisition.
- Plan and execute business development strategies to achieve defined revenue and sales targets.
- Support customer segmentation, market profiling, and demand generation initiatives. Conduct client meetings, deliver compelling presentations, and communicate product developments effectively.
Commercial Analysis & Decision Support:
- Analyze relevant market and customer data to support commercial decisions.
- Evaluate business ideas and opportunities in line with company criteria and objectives. Advise on lead generation methods and conversion procedures to enhance sales efficiency.
Marketing & Product Strategy:
- Design and implement go-to-market strategies, including market penetration and channel entry plans.
- Contribute to product definition and portfolio management based on market feedback and demand analysis. Establish benchmarks and standard procedures to ensure business development effectiveness.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer needs and buying behaviours.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients. Support customer retention initiatives through strategic account management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a business-related field
- 3-5 years’ experience in Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of the natural gas/CNG industry.
- Proven experience in business development, sales planning, and execution
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to analyse market data and apply insights to business strategy.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate plans into results Strong organizational and time management skills.
