Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to spearhead our growth in the South-West region of Nigeria, with potential outreach to adjacent regions. Based in Lagos, the ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, driving revenue growth, and overseeing field service operations and business IT development initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans to expand ETOP’s presence in the South-West region, with potential outreach to adjacent regions.
- Identify and onboard new clients, including merchants, financial institutions, and government agencies, for our payment solutions (POS terminals, agency banking, and mobile applications).
- Oversee field service operations (FSO), including the deployment, maintenance, and repair of POS terminals and payment solutions, ensuring operational excellence.
- Drive business IT development by implementing innovative IT solutions, such as mobile application integrations and transaction processing systems, to enhance service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including regional partners and institutions.
- Collaborate with the sales, technical, and IT teams to ensure seamless deployment and support of payment and IT solutions.
- Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth and innovation.
- Represent ETOP at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to promote our services and technological capabilities.
- Prepare and present regular reports on business development activities, field operations, IT development progress, and performance metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, field service operations, or IT development, preferably in the fintech, banking, or payment solutions industry.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets, managing field operations, and delivering IT-driven solutions in the South-West region.
- Strong understanding of the Nigerian fintech ecosystem, POS terminal deployment, and e-payment technologies.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be based in Lagos with willingness to travel across the South-West and potentially into adjacent regions.
- Knowledge of agency banking, POS terminal deployment, or mobile application development is a plus.
