Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Help develop and implement maintenance procedures and schedules to ensure efficient operation of structures.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance staff, including assigning tasks and providing guidance.
- Inspect facilities regularly to identify issues and implement preventive maintenance measures.
- Oversee repairs and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for maintenance services and repairs as needed.
- Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment and ensure adequate stock levels.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards in all maintenance activities.
- Evaluate the performance of maintenance staff and provide feedback and coaching as needed.
- Collaborate with other departments to support their maintenance needs and coordinate facility improvements.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in maintenance management. Prepare reports and presentations on maintenance activities and performance metrics for senior management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of OND in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
- Proven experience in maintenance management, preferably in Logistics.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and standards related to maintenance operations.
- Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and safety.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience working with vendors and contractors.
- Familiarity with budgeting and cost control principles.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
