About the Role

Our client, a licensed Microfinance Bank (MFB), is seeking to hire an experienced Agency Banking Specialist to drive the growth and expansion of its agency banking business. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in building, managing, and scaling agent networks, preferably with top fintechs or financial institutions such as Opay, Moniepoint, or similar players in the Nigerian agency banking ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the bank’s agency banking strategy in line with CBN guidelines and business goals.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage a robust network of agents across Nigeria.
• Drive transaction volumes and ensure agent profitability through innovative products and service offerings.
• Monitor agent performance and resolve operational issues promptly.
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory requirements and internal control processes.
• Conduct periodic training for agents to improve service quality and customer satisfaction.
Collaborate with technology, operations, and risk teams to improve the efficiency of agency channels.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Banking & Finance, Economics, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Minimum of 4–6 years proven experience in agency banking, agent network management, or digital financial services , preferably from leading fintechs or microfinance/commercial banks.
• Strong understanding of CBN/NIBSS regulations guiding agency banking in Nigeria.
• Proven track record in expanding and managing agent networks.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and deliver results.
Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
