We are looking to hire an experience Account Officer for our client, The Account Officer will work to create and maintain accurate, extensive financial records and process payments and invoices with greater efficiency.
He will also work with the admin team in the disbursement of funds to vendors, with payment and reconciliation of capital investment activities.
He will work with HR in the management of payroll, payment of compliances and integration and removal of staff from the organization.
Job Role: Account Officer
Responsibilities:
Financial Management:
· Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, journals, and registers.
· Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and budgets.
· Keep track and manage cash flow, ensuring adequate funds are available for operational requirements.
· Assist in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Accounts Payable and Receivable:
· Process invoices, expense claims, commission payment, investment liquidation, and other financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
· Monitor accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding payments with clients yet to complete payment and capital investment defaulters, and ensure timely collections.
· Reconcile accounts payable and receivable statements daily, resolving any discrepancies that may arise as a result of accounting.
Compliance and Reporting:
· Work with HR to ensure that all compliances are paid as at when due, from PAYE to pension and withholding.
· Prepare and submit statutory reports and tax returns to relevant authorities.
· Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.
Financial Analysis and Support:
· Conduct financial analysis with the accounting team to identify trends, and provide insights to support management decision-making.
· Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts, budgets, and business plans.
· Provide financial support and guidance to other departments within the company.
