JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Account Assistant to support our finance team with daily bookkeeping, expense tracking, reconciliations, and general finance operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong numeracy skills who is organized, trustworthy, and eager to grow their career in accounting and property finance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Bookkeeping & Financial Recordkeeping
- Record daily financial transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
- Prepare and update financial entries using accounting software
2. Reconciliations & Expense Tracking
- Reconcile bank statements, payments, and petty cash
- Track apartment expenses (e.g. electricity, diesel, maintenance) and ensure supporting documentation is collected
- Assist in preparing monthly financial summaries and expenditure reports
3. Support for Financial Reporting
- Provide data and assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports
- Maintain up-to-date files and documentation for audits and reviews
4. Administrative Finance Support
- Assist with payroll calculations and remittances
- Help maintain vendor and tenant payment records.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field (OND/HND holders with experience will be considered)
- 2 years experience in a finance, bookkeeping, or accounting support role
- Proficient in Excel; experience with accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility
- Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: ₦150,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
Experience:
- Excel or Accounting software: 1 year (Required)
- Accounting: 2 years (Preferred)
