Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and responsible Store Keeper to manage the day-to-day operations of our storage facility. The ideal candidate will ensure the accurate receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, supplies, and equipment. You will maintain inventory records, monitor stock levels, and ensure a clean and organized storage area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and verify their quantity and quality.
- Maintain proper inventory records using manual or electronic systems.
- Organize and store items in designated locations for easy access and retrieval.
- Issue materials, supplies, or products to internal departments or customers as needed.
- Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile with system records.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the store or warehouse.
- Monitor stock levels and notify supervisors when items are low or need replenishment.
- Ensure all stock is stored safely and complies with health and safety regulations.
- Prepare reports on stock levels, damages, or discrepancies.
- Coordinate with procurement and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in storekeeping or inventory control is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar inventory management role.
- Familiarity with inventory software and basic computer skills (MS Excel, ERP systems).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift moderately heavy items and operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic math skills and ability to analyze stock data.
Working Conditions:
- May require standing for long periods and lifting/moving heavy objects.
- Warehouse or storeroom environment, possibly non-climate controlled.
