Solar Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Solar Engineer to join a renewable energy company in Enugu State. The role involves overseeing customer installations, maintenance, and solar projects, ensuring they are executed on time, to high quality standards, and within budget. The ideal candidate will be skilled in handling complex systems, hybrid, and off-grid solar solutions, while also supporting project officers with system design, monitoring, and upgrades.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and commission solar PV systems (on-grid, off-grid, and hybrid).
- Conduct site surveys and technical evaluations for solar projects.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair solar systems to ensure efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality, and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with Project Officers on solar system design and upgrades.
- Provide technical documentation, system monitoring, and reporting.
- Train and support junior technicians and field staff when required.
- Drive innovation in solar system deployment and maintenance practices.
Requirements:
- B.Eng / HND in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in solar PV installation and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid/off-grid solar solutions.
- Familiarity with inverters, batteries, charge controllers, and solar design software.
- Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel within and outside Enugu State when required.
