Our ideal candidate for a Solar Energy System Designer is to perform site-specific engineering analysis of commercial, industrial, or utility-scale solar projects and design large solar thermal systems. Will be responsible for the delivery of innovative, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions to meet our clients’ needs. This individual will design and engineer solar PV systems for commercial, community and utility-scale projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant engineering standards and codes.
As part of the clean energy economy, Solar Energy Systems Designers design large-scale solar thermal systems, recommend engineering or manufacturing changes to achieve solar design objectives, and develop the specifications and integration requirements that allow solar power to safely, effectively, and efficiently flow into the nation’s power grid.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Include but not limited to):
I. Create electrical three-line diagrams for solar power systems using computer-aided design software. They also run computer simulations of solar PV generation to optimize efficiency and system performance and provide technical direction or support to field teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, and performance monitoring.
II. Responsible for conducting site surveys for capacity analysis, shadow analysis and plant designing.
III. Advise and assist our clients and interested parties through the renewable energy system and power grid planning and implementation processes.
IV. Work closely with the Estimating/Engineering team, Operations Managers, and Sales Managers to provide turn-key solar systems to our clients.
V. Establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with existing and new clients, as well as providing our clients with an easy transition from an interested solar customer to a champion of renewable energy.
VI. Evaluate client’s renewable energy goals and provide a comprehensive solution.

X. Responsible for all aspects of the sales process including lead generation, site evaluations, assistance with financing, development of cash flow analyses, managing customers’ objections and concerns and providing contracts.

QUALIFICATIONS:
i) Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering
ii) Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of solar design (On grid and Hybrid System)
iii) Knowledge of structure design
iv) Knowledge of Google Sketchup, Solar Lab, PV Syst.
v) Knowledge of Auto-Cad is a must.
