Job Title: Senior Production Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and result-driven Senior Production Officer to lead and oversee daily production operations in our skin and oral care manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of production processes, and a background in managing teams in a fast-paced FMCG environment. This role will focus on ensuring optimal production efficiency, quality assurance, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to meet output, quality, and efficiency targets
- Ensure adherence to production schedules, GMP standards, and safety regulations
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain teams to optimize workflows
- Monitor production KPIs and generate reports to identify areas for process improvement
- Train, mentor, and manage production line staff to ensure operational excellence
- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
- Ensure proper documentation of production activities and traceability of materials used
- Support new product introduction and pilot runs in coordination with R&D and QA teams
- Drive cost-saving initiatives while maintaining high standards of product quality
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in production within an FMCG, preferably in the personal care or pharmaceutical sector
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, GMP, HACCP, and ISO standards
- Excellent team leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in production planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Lagos
