Job Role: Senior Finance Associate

Location: Ikeja, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-Time

Salary Range: ₦500,000 – ₦1,000,000

Resumption: Within 2 weeks of offer

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate and oversee the entire budgeting and forecasting process, working closely with department heads to align financial planning with business strategy.

Monitor and analyze key financial metrics, trends, and variances, providing actionable insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.

Oversee and maintain the general ledger, account reconciliations, and internal financial controls to ensure reliability and integrity of financial information.

Ensure timely and accurate tax filings, remittances, and regulatory compliance, including PAYE, VAT, WHT, and other statutory obligations.

Manage cash flow planning, working capital optimization, and effective treasury operations to support ongoing and future business needs.

Supervise and support the finance team in payroll administration, accounts payable, receivables, and inventory costing.

Coordinate internal and external audits, preparing audit schedules, responding to queries, and implementing recommendations.

Drive automation and efficiency in finance processes using accounting software such as Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage, and advanced Excel tools.

Liaise with external stakeholders including auditors, tax authorities, banks, and vendors, ensuring professional relationships and timely resolutions.

Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development to junior finance staff, fostering a culture of performance and accountability.

Requirements:

A Master’s Degree (MSc or MBA) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.

ICAN certification is mandatory (or equivalent such as ACCA).

A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a structured finance role, preferably in retail, technology, or FMCG sectors.

Advanced proficiency in Odoo, QuickBooks, Sage, and MS Excel.

Deep knowledge of financial regulations, tax laws, and compliance standards in Nigeria.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

High ethical standards, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
