Job Summary:
The Room Attendant/Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring that guest rooms and public areas are clean, well-maintained, and presented to the highest standards. You will play a critical role in delivering a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests, upholding the boutique hotel’s reputation for charm, elegance, and superior service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean and tidy guest rooms, bathrooms, and public areas according to hotel standards
- Change bed linens, make beds, and replenish towels and amenities
- Dust furniture, vacuum carpets, mop floors, and clean windows/mirrors
- Report any maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards to the supervisor
- Ensure all assigned rooms are properly cleaned and set before check-in time
- Refill cleaning supplies and housekeeping trolleys as needed
- Respect guest privacy and adhere to the “Do Not Disturb” policy
- Handle guest items with care and report lost-and-found items immediately
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping storage areas
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a room attendant or cleaner in hospitality is an advantage
- Basic understanding of cleaning products, techniques, and safety procedures
- Good physical stamina and ability to stand, bend, lift, and work on feet for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
