About the Role
Our client seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Procurement Officer to join its dynamic team in the FMCG sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of quality materials, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and supporting operational efficiency through effective procurement strategies.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor stock position of Point of Sales (POS) materials and ensure timely re-orders and deliveries.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective local and foreign suppliers.
Identify foreign material stocks requiring replenishment and initiate re-orders promptly.
Oversee Letter of Credit (LC) processing for orders up to the confirmation stage by beneficiaries.
Evaluate supplier proposals to recommend those offering quality materials at competitive prices.
Maintain and analyze purchase records, quotations, pricing options, and related data.
Obtain daily sales reports from the Sales Team, document, and analyze sales trends to forecast foreign material needs.
Negotiate favorable pricing and terms for purchase orders while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Requirements
First Degree or equivalent in Purchasing & Supply, Accounting, Statistics, or related fields.
Professional certification in Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a procurement role.
Strong analytical and numerical skills with proven problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
FMCG industry experience is an added advantage.
