Company Description
The Bureau of Public Enterprises (BPE) is the entity responsible for implementing Nigeria's policy on privatization and commercialization. Acting as the Secretariat of the National Council of Privatization, BPE handles the preparation and execution of public enterprises for privatization and commercialization. Its strategic reform approaches encompass competitive asset sales, concessions, core investor sales, and private placements. BPE has led significant reforms in telecommunications, pensions, seaports, debt management, solid minerals, and the power sector.
Role Description
The Principal Ent role is a full-time, on-site position located in Abuja. The individual will be responsible for overseeing the privatization and commercialization efforts of public enterprises, ensuring compliance with established policies, and managing stakeholder relations. Key tasks include preparing enterprises for privatization, executing strategic reform activities, and monitoring performance post-privatization. The role includes regular reporting, policy implementation, and coordination with government and private sector stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong background in privatization, commercialization, and public enterprise management
- Proven ability in strategic planning, policy implementation, and stakeholder management
- Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Proficiency in communication, both written and oral, and report writing
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field
- Master's degree and experience in the public sector or related industries are advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple tasks simultaneously Knowledge of Nigerian policies and regulatory frameworks specific to privatization is a plus
