Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to support daily pharmacy operations. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist to assist in preparing medications, managing inventory, and ensuring high-quality customer service.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Medication Preparation & Dispensing:
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescription medications.
- Measure, mix, count, label, and record dosages according to prescription orders. Package and label medications accurately.
Customer Service:
- Greet customers and answer questions regarding prescriptions, drug interactions, or medication storage.
- Handle prescription drop-off and pick-up efficiently and confidentially. Manage phone inquiries and coordinate refills with patients and providers.
Inventory Management:
- Maintain stock levels by ordering, receiving, and stocking medications and supplies.
- Check for expired medications and assist with proper disposal. Maintain a clean and organised work area.
Administrative Support:
- Enter prescription and patient data into pharmacy software systems.
- Process insurance claims and resolve billing issues. Assist with documentation, reporting, and compliance with pharmacy regulations.
Compliance & Safety:
- Follow all state and federal laws related to pharmacy practice.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations. Support the pharmacist in quality assurance activities.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
- Completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program (preferred)
- Valid Pharmacy Technician certification (e.g., PTCB or ExCPT) [as required by state]
- State pharmacy technician license/registration [if applicable]
- Prior experience in retail or hospital pharmacy setting (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy software and POS systems Knowledge of basic pharmaceutical terminology and calculations
