Job Description/Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the production of a variety of pastries (e.g., Bread, sausage roll, doughnuts, meat pies, Chicken pies, cakes, etc.) that meet Bukka Hut standards.
- Develop and maintain standard recipes for consistency across all outlets.
- Train, supervise, and monitor pastry staff to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Coordinate daily and weekly production schedules to meet outlet demand without wastage.
- Monitor raw material usage and manage inventory, ensuring timely requests and minimal stock-out.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and safety in all pastry areas.
- Innovate and introduce new pastry items suitable for Bukka Hut’s customer base. Conduct regular quality checks across outlets and implement corrective actions when needed.
Requirements:
- BSC/HND in any related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in pastry production, preferably in a restaurant or food service environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical skills in Nigerian pastry.
- Proven experience managing or supervising a pastry team.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet production deadlines. Relevant certification in catering, food production, or culinary arts is an added advantage.
