Job Summary
Through our 24/7 toll-free helpline and teletherapy we provide essential mental health support while driving policy reform and legislative advocacy. As part of our commitment to scaling access to evidence-based mental health support, we are seeking qualified, passionate, and driven Mental Health Professionals to join our team.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Provide mental health first aid via the She Writes Woman helpline or digital channels
- Provide psychological assessments and therapeutic interventions to individuals or groups. Maintain detailed records in line with ethical requirements and SWW standards.
- Participate in supervision, training, and continuous development.
- Contribute to mental health advocacy, psychoeducation, and awareness programs. Collaborate with other professionals and stakeholders in beneficiary care and support.
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (BSc) in Psychology or related field from a recognised institution (for helpline counsellors).
- A Master’s Degree (MSc/MA) in Clinical Psychology, Counselling Psychology, Health Psychology or a closely related mental health field (for teletherapists)
- At least 3 years of post-qualification clinical experience in a hospital, community mental healthcare, school-based, NGO/humanitarian or private practice setting.
- Ability to carry out psychological assessments and case formulation.
- Competence in using CBT, ACT & Mindfulness.
- Familiarity with the ethical codes of conduct and mental health legislation in Nigeria.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong computer literacy for telehealth or digital records, including Google Docs, Sheets, Drive, Slides, etc.
- Cultural sensitivity and a client-centred approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with underserved populations or in humanitarian contexts.
- Familiarity with providing mental health services via digital platforms.
- Certification or training in Trauma-Focused Therapy and/or Addiction Counselling.
- Prior involvement in mental health advocacy and policy work.
- Full or provisional licensure by the Nigerian Association of Clinical Psychologists (NACP) or any recognized professional body relevant to practice.
