Job Summary

We are seeking a versatile and technically proficient Live Stream Producer to join our team at Waywayves Media. In this role, you will serve as a co-host for our media programs while simultaneously managing the technical aspects of live productions. You'll be responsible for operating equipment, software, and tools to ensure seamless, high-quality live streams that captivate our audience. The ideal candidate is a multi-tasker with strong on-camera presence, exceptional technical skills, and a passion for media production. This position requires expertise in tools like Adobe Suite, Elgato Stream Deck, and OBS Studio, among others, to handle everything from pre-production planning to real-time execution and post-production tweaks.

Key Responsibilities

• Co-Hosting Media Programs: Act as a co-host for live streams, podcasts, and interactive media sessions, engaging with audiences, guests, and co-hosts in real-time. Deliver compelling on-camera performances, moderate discussions, and adapt to live scenarios to maintain viewer interest.

• Technical Production Management: Operate and manage live streaming equipment, including mixers, cameras, computers, and audio/visual hardware. Ensure all technical setups are optimized for broadcast-quality output.

• Live Stream Execution: Use software like OBS Studio to mix video feeds, audio sources, overlays, and transitions during live broadcasts. Integrate Elgato Stream Deck for efficient control of scenes, effects, and shortcuts to streamline production workflows.

• Content Creation and Editing:** Leverage Adobe Suite (including Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and Audition) for pre-production asset creation, real-time edits, and post-production polishing of live stream recordings.

• Quality Assurance: Monitor live streams for technical issues such as audio/video sync, lighting, and connectivity problems. Troubleshoot and resolve issues on the fly to minimize downtime and maintain professional standards.

- Pre- and Post-Production Tasks: Plan live stream setups, including scripting, guest coordination, and equipment testing. After broadcasts, archive footage, generate highlights, and analyze performance metrics to improve future productions.

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and upgrade streaming hardware and software, ensuring compatibility and reliability. Recommend new tools or technologies to enhance production capabilities.

• Collaboration and Innovation: Work closely with the media team, including directors, hosts, and graphic designers, to brainstorm ideas and execute creative concepts. Stay updated on industry trends in live streaming and suggest innovative features for our programs.

• Audience Engagement: Interact with viewers through chat moderation, polls, and Q&A sessions during live streams to foster community and boost engagement.

• Compliance and Safety: Adhere to broadcasting standards, copyright laws, and platform guidelines (e.g., YouTube, Twitch, or custom platforms). Ensure all productions are safe, inclusive, and aligned with Waywayves Media's brand values.
  

Required Qualifications

• Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Adobe Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Audition), Elgato Stream Deck, and OBS Studio. Demonstrated ability to use these tools for live production, editing, and customization.

• Experience: At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience in live streaming production, video editing, or broadcast media. Proven track record of co-hosting or producing live content in a professional setting.

• Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of audio/video mixing, lighting setups, multi-camera operations, and streaming protocols (e.g., RTMP, HLS). Familiarity with hardware like mixers (e.g., Behringer or similar), capture cards, and computers optimized for streaming.

• Soft Skills: Excellent communication and presentation skills for on-camera co-hosting. Ability to multitask under pressure, problem-solve quickly, and work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Media Production, Film, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).

• Other Requirements: Reliable high-speed internet, access to a quiet production space, and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends for live events. Must be comfortable with on-camera work and public interaction.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with additional tools such as Wirecast, vMix, or Streamlabs OBS for advanced streaming setups.

• Knowledge of graphic design and motion graphics to create custom overlays and animations.

• Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., YouTube Live, Twitch, Facebook Live) and analytics tools to optimize viewership.

• Background in event production, podcasting, or esports broadcasting.

• Certification in Adobe products or relevant technical training.

• Portfolio showcasing previous live streams, edited videos, or production work.
