About the Role
AIPCC Energy Company Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager to lead and manage its legal services. The ideal candidate must possess a strong background in the oil and gas sector, with proven expertise in corporate finance, regulatory compliance, and contract negotiation.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide legal advisory services to management on all business and regulatory matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements, including joint venture, EPC, crude supply, offtake, and service contracts.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory, regulatory, and licensing requirements in the oil and gas industry.
- Handle corporate governance matters, including Board resolutions, filings, and secretarial duties.
- Support project finance transactions, including legal due diligence, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Liaise with external counsel and regulatory bodies as required.
- Represent the company in legal proceedings, arbitration, and dispute resolution processes.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate legal and contractual risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and BL from a recognized institution; a Master’s degree or relevant certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 8 years post-NYSC legal experience, with at least 3 years in the oil and gas sector.
- Demonstrated experience in corporate finance, commercial transactions, and regulatory compliance.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian oil and gas laws, DPR/NUPRC regulations, and related industry frameworks.
- Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
- High ethical standards, sound judgment, and strong business acumen.
