Who you are


We are seeking a Head of Business Development & Corporate Sales to drive commercial growth and strategic expansion in Nigeria. This is a senior role for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, brings a strategic mindset, and knows how to convert insight into execution.


As a Head of Business Development & Corporate Sales , you will:


  • Define and lead the commercial growth roadmap by identifying market gaps, customer needs, and priority sectors for expansion.
  • Conduct detailed gap analyses across industries, customer segments, and geographies to uncover untapped opportunities and shape GTM strategy.
  • Own the full partnership development lifecycle — from mapping potential partners, initiating cold outreach, leading negotiations, to formalizing collaborations.
  • Design and execute a corporate growth strategy, including segmentation, targeting, sales playbooks, pitch development, and pipeline forecasting.
  • Build and maintain a robust sales funnel, ensuring regular tracking of outreach, deal stage progression, conversion rates, and revenue impact.
  • Lead competitor intelligence efforts, developing frameworks to track competitor moves, pricing models, positioning, and product features.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, marketing, operations, legal) to align BD and sales initiatives with company priorities.
  • Grow, coach and manage a lean team, establishing KPIs, conducting performance reviews, and building capabilities in both BD and sales execution.
  • Represent the company externally, acting as a senior spokesperson in client meetings, industry events, and partner discussions.
  • Report directly to executive leadership, delivering regular updates on commercial performance, risks, and growth forecasts.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships—ideally in e-commerce platforms, fintech, banking, or high-growth environments.
  • Proven track record of designing and executing successful B2B sales strategies.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-evolving, resource-constrained environment.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with hands-on leadership experience.
