Job Title: Gynecologist
Location: Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria
Experience Level: Minimum 5 Years (Plus Post NYSC)
Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Gynecologist to join our medical team. The ideal candidate must be matured and married, with a completed Ob/Gyn residency programme. This role requires strong clinical decision-making skills, effective communication and counselling abilities.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough patient consultations, examinations, and diagnostic procedures related to obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Manage and treat a wide range of gynaecological conditions and obstetric cases, including prenatal, antenatal, and postnatal care.
- Perform surgical procedures as needed, including caesarean sections, hysterectomies, and other relevant interventions.
- Provide counselling and support to patients on reproductive health, family planning, fertility issues, and menopause.
- Collaborate with other medical professionals to ensure comprehensive and continuous care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with clinical and ethical guidelines.
- Monitor and manage high-risk pregnancies and emergencies with sound clinical judgment.
- Participate in continuous medical education and training to remain current with best practices.
- Uphold patient confidentiality, dignity, and rights in all clinical interactions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, protocols, and quality standards.
Requirements:
- Must be mature and married.
- Must have completed a recognized residency programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Valid medical license and board certification in Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
- Proven clinical decision-making and diagnostic skills.
- Strong communication and counselling abilities to support patients through sensitive and emotional issues.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills.
- High levels of emotional resilience and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Good manual dexterity, especially for performing surgical procedures.
- Professional, ethical, and empathetic demeanor at all times.
