Responsibilities:

• Developing and implementing financial strategies - This includes long-term financial planning, setting financial goals, and developing strategies to achieve them.
• Budgeting and forecasting - Leading the budgeting process, creating financial forecasts, and analyzing variances.
• Financial analysis and reporting through analyzing financial data, preparing financial reports, and presenting findings to management and stakeholders.
• Managing financial risks by identifying and mitigating financial risks, including currency fluctuations, interest rate changes, and other potential risks.
• Overseeing all accounting operations, which include general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, and revenue recognition.
• Ensuring accurate financial reporting - Preparing and publishing timely financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (like IFRS), and coordinating regulatory reporting.
• Managing the month-end and year-end close process by overseeing the closing process and ensuring timely and accurate financial information.
• Leading the finance team - Managing, mentoring, and developing the finance team, including accountants and financial assistants.
• Ensuring compliance by checking adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulations.
Ensuring effective internal controls and financial procedures by Implementing and maintaining robust financial controls to safeguard company assets.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience
• BSc. Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a similar course of study
• ICAN, ACCA certified
