About the Role
ThinkBusiness Africa and the Africa Business Convention are seeking talented and highly motivated Economic & Business Analysts to join our growing research and insights team. These analysts will cover one or more of our key industry streams and thematic pillars, providing data-driven insights on Africa’s evolving economic and business landscape.
You will be responsible for tracking macroeconomic trends, policies, markets, industries, people, and business developments across Africa and translating them into high-quality analyses, reports, and stories for diverse audiences — from senior executives to policymakers and the public.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on macroeconomic conditions and industry-specific trends across Africa.
- Monitor policies, reforms, and business developments impacting assigned sectors and markets.
- Prepare high-quality outputs — including news-style articles, analytical reports, and short 3–5 page business briefs.
- Present findings visually using tools such as Excel, charts, and infographics to make insights easily digestible.
- Collaborate with other analysts, editors, and the insights team to produce integrated content for ThinkBusiness Africa and Africa Business Convention platforms.
- Stay ahead of emerging trends, opportunities, and risks shaping Africa’s business and investment climate.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Business, Finance, Statistics, or related fields.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret complex data and policies.
- Proven ability to write clear, compelling, and structured reports in multiple formats (articles, briefs, reports).
- Proficiency in Excel and comfort with data visualization tools; familiarity with PowerPoint and other presentation tools is an advantage.
- Knowledge of African economies, sectors, and business environments.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: From ₦150,000.00 per month
