Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Dispatch Rider to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the prompt delivery and collection of items, ensuring all packages are handled with care and delivered to the correct recipients on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pick up and deliver packages, documents, and other items to assigned destinations.
- Plan delivery routes and ensure timely arrival using the safest and most efficient paths.
- Communicate with dispatch officers and customers regarding delivery status.
- Verify delivery information and obtain recipient’s signature upon successful delivery.
- Ensure proper handling and documentation of delivered items.
- Keep the motorcycle in good condition by performing regular maintenance checks.
- Maintain a log of daily deliveries and collections.
- Follow traffic laws and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements:
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a dispatch rider or similar role is preferred.
- Valid Rider’s Permit and Driver’s License (Motorcycle Category).
- Good knowledge of road networks, routes, and traffic patterns in Lagos.
- Strong sense of responsibility, reliability, and punctuality.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery deadlines.
- Basic numeracy and record-keeping skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
