Lifelight Cardiovascular Foundation is dedicated to improving lives through comprehensive cardiovascular care, education, and support. Our mission is to provide innovative solutions and compassionate care for individuals battling cardiovascular conditions. We engage with schools, community centers, places of worship, and other organizations to offer free medical outreaches and training programs that educate the community on the importance of CPR and emergency care. Our goal is to reduce preventable cardiac deaths by preventing and treating hypertension early and increasing access to quality CPR training and empowering communities with life-saving skills.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Community Volunteer at Lifelight Cardiovascular Foundation, located in Ilorin West. The Community Volunteer will be responsible for organizing and conducting CPR training sessions, coordinating community outreach programs, promoting awareness campaigns, and building relationships with local organizations. The volunteer will also assist with event planning, support educational initiatives, and engage with the community to spread awareness about heart health.
Qualifications
- Experience in CPR and AED training, and basic first aid skills (training will be done for those without experience)
- Strong community outreach and public speaking abilities
- Organizational skills for event planning and coordination
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with diverse groups
- Passion for public health and community service Educational background in public health, healthcare, or a related field is preferred
