- Develop and execute commercial strategies to deliver revenue, profitability, and market share growth in the livestock feed and animal nutrition segment.
- Lead and manage sales, marketing, and distribution teams across key regions to achieve business targets.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and partnerships to expand the company’s footprint.
- Build strong relationships with farmers, distributors, cooperatives, veterinary networks, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee pricing strategy, product portfolio management, and customer value proposition.
- Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to align product innovation with market needs.
- Drive customer-centric initiatives to improve satisfaction, retention, and loyalty.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory, quality, and sustainability standards within the livestock feed sector.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and global industry developments to inform business decisions.
- Report regularly to executive leadership on commercial performance, risks, and opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Business, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 12–15 years’ commercial experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role within agribusiness, livestock feed, or animal nutrition.
- Proven track record in driving sales growth and managing large commercial teams across multiple regions.
- Strong knowledge of livestock production systems, feed formulations, animal nutrition, and the broader agricultural value chain.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience in developing markets across Africa or other emerging economies is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, with experience managing P&L.
