Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Teach Civic Education topics including governance, democracy, human rights, and national values
- Prepare and deliver interactive lessons based on the national curriculum
- Equip students with knowledge of their roles, rights, and responsibilities as citizens
- Encourage civic participation, ethical thinking, and critical discussion
- Prepare students for external examinations such as WAEC and BECE
- Assess student performance and provide timely feedback
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning environment Participate in staff meetings, school events, and professional development sessions
Requirements:
- N.C.E/B.Ed/B.Sc. in Political Science, Social Studies, Education, or a related field
- TRCN certification (or in progress) is an added advantage
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Passionate about nation-building, character development, and youth empowerment
- Familiarity with current civic issues and Nigerian constitution
