Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Quality Control: Conduct chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
- Product Development: Assist in the development of new products or the improvement of existing ones through experimentation and analysis.
- Process Optimisation: Collaborate with production teams to optimise manufacturing processes, troubleshoot issues, and improve efficiency.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines related to chemical manufacturing and testing.
- Research and Development: Conduct research and experiments to improve product quality, develop new products, or explore new technologies.
- Sample Analysis: Analyse samples using various chemical testing methods, such as chromatography, spectroscopy, or titration.
- Data Interpretation: Interpret test results, identify trends, and make recommendations for process improvements or product modifications.
- Method Development: Develop and validate new testing methods or modify existing ones to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams, including production, quality assurance, and research and development, to achieve common goals.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of testing, analysis, and results, and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to follow strict protocols and procedures.
- Communication Skills: Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present results to stakeholders.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant regulations, standards, and industry guidelines related to chemical manufacturing and testing.
- Being a Member Of Chartered Chemist Of Nigeria will be an added advantage
