Job Summary:
Our client, a reputable medical facility located in Ikolaba GRA, Ibadan (between Bodija and Bashorun), are currently recruiting a qualified and detail-oriented Laboratory Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests, handling samples, and ensuring accurate diagnostic processes to support effective patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
-Collect, label, and prepare patient samples (blood, urine, etc.) for testing
-Conduct routine laboratory tests and ensure accurate documentation of results
-Operate, clean, and calibrate lab equipment as needed
-Maintain a clean and safe laboratory environment, adhering to infection control protocols
-Record test data and maintain up-to-date logs and reports
-Manage inventory of lab consumables and report supply needs
-Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate diagnoses
Requirements:
-Diploma or Certificate in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
-Valid license from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN)
-Minimum of 1 year relevant experience preferred
-Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
-Ability to work independently and maintain proper documentation
-Good communication skills and basic computer literacy
