Job Description/Requirements
We are recruiting a Business Development & Procurement Officer to support the company’s expansion strategy by identifying growth opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and handling procurement activities to support project delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities across upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors, with a focus on projects involving EPC procurement and turnkey energy solutions.
- Build and sustain high-value business networks with International Oil Companies (IOCs), National Oil Companies (NOCs), EPC contractors, regulatory authorities, and key industry stakeholders to unlock growth opportunities.
- Lead the preparation and submission of competitive bids and tender responses, including technical and commercial documentation, pre-qualification packages, and compliance certifications.
- Source and coordinate procurement of engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) materials and services to support project execution and proposal requirements.
- Conduct in-depth market intelligence and competitor analysis to identify industry trends, regulatory shifts, and potential areas for expansion.
- Collaborate with technical, legal, and finance teams to structure winning proposals and ensure that all bids are compliant with local content, regulatory, and client specifications.
- Negotiate and finalize commercial terms, close business deals, and oversee the smooth transition into contract execution, ensuring client satisfaction and operational alignment.
- Represent Aioon Energy at industry events, networking forums, trade fairs, and high-level stakeholder meetings to enhance brand visibility and strategic positioning.
- Maintain a robust CRM system by tracking leads, updating opportunity pipelines, and monitoring bid and contract statuses for management reporting and decision-making.
- Provide accurate forecasts, market reports, and KPIs to support strategic planning and performance evaluation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Engineering, Petroleum Studies, or a related field. An MBA or relevant professional certification is a plus.
- 5+ years of proven experience in business development or commercial roles within the Oil & Gas industry.
- Strong network and understanding of the oil and gas ecosystem (NOCs, IOCs, regulators, and service companies).
- Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Proficiency in MS Office, CRM tools, and business intelligence platforms.

- Self-starter with strong organizational and networking skills. Knowledge of NCDMB, NipeX, or other Nigerian procurement portals is a strong advantage.
