We are seeking a versatile and highly creative Business Development Manager to lead the Afrihood team, drive our investment products and propositions, create compelling content, and represent Afrihood to clients and investors.Job Overview
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in leading the Afrihood team to drive growth by creating and selling financial and investment products, engaging potential clients and investors, and building long-lasting relationships that foster trust and collaboration. This leadership position requires a unique blend of creativity, financial acumen, excellent communication skills, and hands-on leadership both in front of the camera and during face-to-face client engagements.
Key ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management
Lead the Afrihood team, providing strategic direction and fostering a collaborative, innovative, and high-performance culture.
Mentor and guide team members to align with Afrihood’s vision of transforming African communities through real estate and infrastructure development.
Oversee cross-functional collaboration to ensure seamless execution of projects and initiatives.
Product Development & Strategy
Develop innovative financial and investment products that align with Afrihood's real estate and infrastructure offerings.
Lead the development and marketing of real estate and infrastructure products, ensuring they meet market demands and enhance Afrihood’s brand visibility.
Collaborate with internal teams to shape offerings that appeal to investors and clients in the real estate industry.
Assess market trends and client needs to tailor offerings that maximize value and enhance Afrihood’s portfolio.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth, including high-net-worth clients and institutional investors.
Develop, manage, and nurture strong client relationships.
Act as a liaison between clients and Afrihood’s project teams to ensure seamless execution of investment and development projects.
Content Creation & Media Engagement
Develop engaging content for digital platforms that promotes Afrihood’s value proposition, vision, and successes in real estate and infrastructure development.
Create and present professional investment pitches for potential clients and investors.
Appear on camera to represent Afrihood in webinars, marketing videos, and client presentations, delivering insights into market trends, real estate, and investment opportunities.
Pitching & Presentation
Craft and deliver high-quality, persuasive pitches to secure funding and partnerships for Afrihood’s projects.
Present Afrihood’s value propositions, market opportunities, and impact stories to prospective clients and investors at conferences, meetings, and online events.
Market Research & Competitive Analysis
Conduct in-depth research to understand market conditions, competitor activities, and emerging trends in real estate, infrastructure development, and investment in Africa.
Identify opportunities for growth and new market penetration.
Financial & Investment Expertise
Develop a deep understanding of financial modeling and investment analysis specific to real estate and infrastructure.
Provide clients and investors with expert financial insight and recommendations based on market data and analysis.
Work closely with financial analysts and project teams to translate complex financial data into clear, actionable strategies.
Collaboration
Work closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, finance, and operations to ensure seamless delivery of projects and services.
Lead client presentations, workshops, and negotiations to close deals and finalize partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development, investment management, or a similar role within real estate, infrastructure, or finance.
Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
Strong knowledge of real estate and infrastructure development in Africa.
Demonstrable experience in crafting financial products and investment pitches.
Experience in creating content and engaging media and clients on digital platforms.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
