Job Title:Accountant
Location: Kano, Kano State
Salary: ₦150,000 Gross (Negotiable based on experience & qualifications)
ICAN certification in progress toward it is an added advantage.
Role Overview:
We’re hiring a skilled Accounts & Finance Officer to manage day-to-day financial operations, ensure compliance, and support budgeting and reporting. This role requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual with solid accounting experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate financial records and general ledger entries
- Reconcile accounts, bank statements, and expense reports
- Process payroll and ensure tax compliance (VAT, income tax, etc.)
- Handle data entry into accounting software and update the Arable Tracker
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Support internal/external audits with proper documentation
- Process vendor payments and manage operational expenses
- Recommend process improvements and support accounting system upgrades
- Liaise with vendors, clients, and internal teams (Procurement, HR, Ops)
Requirements:
- Education: BSc/HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Experience: 3–5 years in a similar role
Skills:
- Proficiency in accounting tools (Sage, Odoo, QuickBooks, Xero, SAP)
- Strong Excel and ERP system skills
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving
