About the Role:
Our client seeks an experienced and dedicated Veterinary Doctor with a strong background in livestock and poultry healthcare. The successful candidate will manage the animal health function across the farm, ensuring the wellness and productivity of all livestock.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and treat animal illnesses, infections, and injuries
- Develop and execute herd/flock health plans
- Monitor and manage vaccinations and biosecurity systems
- Supervise breeding and reproductive health
- Maintain detailed medical and treatment records
- Train farm staff on animal health and welfare
Requirements:
- DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years experience in farm animal practice
- Strong background in poultry, pigs, cattle, and small ruminants
- Registered with relevant veterinary authority
- Experience with farm software and data recording systems
