The Trade and Exports Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Department’s trade promotion and export facilitation initiatives. This role involves creating export-ready pathways for SBOs, overseeing market access strategies, regulatory compliance, and the establishment of efficient trade systems.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
Export Program Leadership:
- Lead the design, execution, and improvement of the Export Readiness Program (ERP), including its training, mentorship, and market access components.
- Coordinate centralised warehousing and global distribution systems for export-oriented SBOs. Track and report on program outcomes such as export volume, market reach, and participant progress.
Trade Facilitation and Market Access:
- Identify and develop international markets for LoveWorld Nation businesses, with a focus on priority regions and sectors.
- Organise and lead trade delegations, exhibitions, and bilateral trade dialogues. Coordinate with customs authorities, trade ministries, and international trade bodies to streamline market entry procedures.
SBO Export Development:
- Engage directly with SBOs to assess export readiness, build export plans, and connect them with market partners.
- Facilitate training on documentation, compliance, logistics, and financing options. Monitor the performance and sustainability of exporting SBOs through structured feedback mechanisms.
Strategic Partnerships and Logistics:
- Build partnerships with freight forwarders, export credit agencies, warehousing providers, and certification bodies.
- Ensure end-to-end export value chain coordination—including transport, clearance, quality assurance, and delivery. Manage relationships with international buyers, trade missions, and commercial attachés.
Trade Policy & Compliance:
- Monitor and interpret local and global trade policies, tariffs, and regulations that affect Department programs.
- Provide regulatory guidance and risk mitigation for SBOs involved in cross-border trade. Contribute to policy advocacy for improved trade frameworks, export incentives, and innovation support.
Other Responsibilities:
- Export Enablement for SBOs: Guide businesses through the full export lifecycle, from readiness assessment to market entry.
- Trade Promotion & Facilitation: Lead Department efforts to unlock new markets and streamline international trade pathways.
- Export Readiness Programming: Manage and optimise the Export Readiness Program (ERP) and related training initiatives.
- AgroGlobal Integration: Oversee integration of agro-producers and manufacturers into international trade networks via AgroGlobal Connect. Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure all export activities align with international trade regulations, logistics protocols, and customs frameworks.
Requirements:
- 6-10 years of experience
- Master's in a related field
