About Us
Resuss is an early-stage digital marketplace built for African creatives. Our mission is to connect, empower, and showcase talent across the continent by providing opportunities for collaboration, visibility, and growth. We have developed an MVP and are now seeking a Technical Co-Founder to help take Resuss to the next level.
Role Overview
As Technical Co-Founder, you will be responsible for leading the technical development of Resuss. At this stage, we are bootstrapping and cannot offer a salary. Instead, we are offering equity in the company, providing you with ownership and the opportunity to shape the platform, technology, and culture from the ground up.
This role requires someone hands-on, entrepreneurial, and passionate about Africa’s creative economy. You will initially be the sole technical team member, responsible for coding, testing, deploying, and maintaining the platform. As we grow, you will build and lead a technology team.
Key Responsibilities
- Take ownership of all technical aspects of the Resuss platform.
- Build, maintain, and iterate on our MVP to improve user experience and scalability.
- Collaborate with the founding team on product strategy and development roadmap.
- Set up technical infrastructure, tools, and processes for long-term growth.
- Play a central role in fundraising conversations and investor readiness from a technical standpoint. Recruit and lead a technology team in the future.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development experience (backend & frontend).
- Proven ability to build and deploy MVPs or early-stage products.
- Knowledge of marketplace platforms or similar business models (preferred).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple responsibilities, and deliver under tight timelines.
- Entrepreneurial mindset motivated by vision, ownership, and long-term value creation. Passion for Africa’s creative economy and belief in its potential.
