We are seeking 3 (three) motivated Student Engagement Interns for a three-month internship at our Lagos Branch. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in student engagement, application support, and compliance while working closely with our Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams. The intern will be a point of contact for students, ensuring they feel supported and informed throughout their journey. You will play a vital role in enhancing student experiences and engagement at various stages of their academic journey.
Responsibilities
- Make introductory phone calls to prospective students, providing them with initial guidance on study options, application procedures, and next steps.
- Follow up with students who have shown interest but have not yet completed their applications, ensuring they have the necessary support.
- Invite students to Study Now events, including education fairs, webinars, and school visits, ensuring high attendance.
- Make reminder calls to confirm attendance and answer any event-related questions.
- Follow up with attendees after events to provide further support and encourage applications.
- Assist the Student Engagement team in designing and supporting activities that enhance student engagement and overall experience.
- Support student retention efforts by monitoring visa stages and enrolment procedures.
- Use our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (Monday.com) to track student applications, assist Education Counsellors, and liaise with the Visa Compliance department.
- Help maintain relationships with schools, colleges, and external partners to increase brand awareness and student applications.
- Organize and promote student enrichment activities to improve the overall student experience.
- Assist in promoting engagement and recruitment programs to prospective students, parents, and school representatives.
- Communicate with students via email, WhatsApp, and phone to provide timely updates on application progress and available resources.
- Collect and analyze student feedback to assess experiences and suggest improvements.
- Stay updated on visa regulations and provide general guidance to students regarding compliance requirements.
- Collaborate with the Business Development & Sales team to create marketing materials and presentations
for recruitment events. - Support the delivery of webinars, school visits, and student fairs to improve student outreach efforts.
- Content Creation with The Marketing and Business Development Team.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Education, Marketing, Business, or Communications.
- Passion for student support, engagement, and international education.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of or willingness to learn about student recruitment, visa compliance, and international education policies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and experience with CRM tools (Monday.com or similar)
is an advantage. - Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to work occasional evenings or weekends for student engagement activities.
- Just concluded NYSC is a plus
