Job Summary:
The Store Manager / Facility Manager will oversee the operations of the central store. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising storekeepers, monitor material usage to prevent waste and theft, and ensure accurate record-keeping. In this role, you are required to have strong organizational skills, proficiency with software and technology for centralized inventory management, and the ability to implement efficient storekeeping processes that minimize losses and optimize inventory control.
Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the central store.
- Supervise and guide storekeepers, ensuring adherence to procedures and policies.
- Monitor material usage and maintain accurate inventory records to minimize waste, loss, and theft.
- Utilize software tools to manage and improve storekeeping systems.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory control processes.
- Ensure compliance with organizational standards, policies, and best practices.
- Prepare and present regular reports on stock levels, material utilization, and store performance.
- Collaborate with procurement, finance, and operations teams to ensure smooth coordination of activities.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and hazard-free store environment.
- Lead, train, and evaluate store staff to support efficiency and continuous improvement.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives within store operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
- 8–10 years of proven experience in store management, inventory control, or facility management.
- Strong experience using software/technology to manage centralized inventory systems.
- In-depth knowledge of storekeeping practices, material handling, and record management.
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, integrity, and accountability
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦350,000.00 per month
