Job Summary
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to join our engineering team. As an SDET, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of our software products by designing and implementing automated testing solutions, identifying bugs, and proactively improving testing processes. This role bridges the gap between development and QA, with a strong emphasis on test automation, continuous integration, and quality control.

Job Description/Requirements
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and API services
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Appium, or equivalent
- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and the QA team to understand requirements and translate them into test plans and cases
- Perform functional, regression, performance, load, and stress testing
- Ensure high test coverage through automation and identify gaps in testing
- Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and ensure smooth integration with the development lifecycle
- Analyse test results, debug issues, and work with the dev team to resolve bugs
- Develop and maintain documentation related to testing processes, environments, and known issues Champion best practices in test automation and software quality assurance
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 2–5 years of experience as an SDET, QA Engineer, or related role
- Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript, C#)
- Experience with test automation tools like Selenium, Cypress, JUnit, TestNG, Appium, etc.
- Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (unit, integration, system, E2E)
- Hands-on experience with REST API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
- Familiarity with version control (Git), CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Nice to Have:
- Experience testing microservices architecture
- Familiarity with performance/load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, Gatling)
- Experience with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)
- ISTQB or other QA-related certifications
