Job Summary
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of construction, mining, and manufacturing projects at the site level. You will work closely with various stakeholders to ensure that all activities are performed efficiently, safely, and within the specified timeframes.
This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and excellent project management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to project schedule, budget, and quality standards.
- Supervise and coordinate site teams, contractors, and subcontractors while maintaining accurate progress and issue reports.
- Provide technical guidance on designs, construction methods, and resolve on-site challenges to prevent delays.
- Assist in project scheduling, resource planning, and risk management in collaboration with project managers.
- Monitor material usage, deliveries, and workforce productivity to keep projects on track.
- Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies, conduct inspections, and promote safety awareness among personnel.
- Inspect works and materials to ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality requirements.
- Track costs, manage resources efficiently, and report on financial status to prevent overruns.
- Serve as the key liaison between site teams, management, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and coordination.
Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of experience in site engineering, preferably in construction, mining, or manufacturing sectors.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of construction, mining, or manufacturing processes, materials, and techniques.
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., MS Project, AutoCAD, etc.).
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Relevant safety certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, OSHA) are preferred.
- Ability to work in varying site conditions and handle physical site demands as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₦250,000.00 - ₦300,000.00 per month
