Job Title: Senior Inventory and Cost Accounting Officer

Location: Ogun

Job Summary

Our client, a leading manufacturing company in Nigeria is hiring a Senior Inventory and Cost Accounting Officer

Responsibilities :

• Analyze actual manufacturing costs and prepare periodic reports, comparing budget costs to actual production costs and conduct product margin reporting and analysis.
• Review production quantities posted on daily basis.
• Perform weekly monitoring and balancing of Finished Goods stocks of all company depots.
• Organize and lead team on monthly stock taking activities & reconciliation.
• Perform reconciliation on Depot sales with Cash balance on weekly basis.
• Ensure proper supervision and safe keeping of all accounting documents.
• Calculate/update annual standard costs and overhead rates for each manufacturing process by manufacturing plant.
• Prepare and validate product costing for new product development, as well as revision to existing products / services.
• Conduct analysis of raw material and packaging standard cost for accuracy on annual basis.
Work closely with relevant process owners to obtain necessary information and input required for compilation, documentation and analysis of cost

Requirements:

• First degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance,
• Economics or other business- related discipline
• A Master’s Degree (e.g. MBA, etc.) and proficiency in MS Navision are added advantage.
• Professional certification in any of ACA, ACCA, CFA, etc. is required
• Minimum of 5 years job- relevant experience, with at least 2 years as a supervisor in any manufacturing setting.
