*Job Overview:*
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Inventory officer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the entire inventory management process, ensuring optimal stock levels, accurate inventory tracking, and timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will be proactive, possess strong analytical skills, and have experience coordinating with suppliers, logistics partners, and internal teams to streamline inventory operations.
*Responsibilities:*
- Oversee inventory planning and allocation to maintain optimal stock levels across all product categories, factoring in seasonality, trends, and sales forecasts.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory data, reconciling discrepancies and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Coordinate with designers and logistics partners to manage inbound and outbound shipments, streamline replenishment processes, and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
- Receive stock (new stock, restocks, alterations, etc.) from suppliers and input it into the system.
- Manage the receipt and dispatch of stock, ensuring accurate tracking of incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Keep and maintain an updated stock register, ensuring all data is accurate and current.
- Tag all garments with appropriate names and prices provided by the buyer.
- Oversee the order fulfillment process, including order processing, packaging, and shipping, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of customer orders.
- Maintain strong relationships with brand partners to ensure timely and efficient delivery of merchandise.
- Conduct daily physical inventory counts to verify inventory accuracy.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies between physical inventory and computerized records.
- Manage inventory movement across multiple stores.
- Implement strategies to prevent shrinkage, theft, and damage to inventory.
- Perform an inventory audit every Monday and provide a detailed report after each audit.
*Reports:*
- *Daily:* Inventory report.
- *Weekly:* Inventory report.
- *Monthly:* End-of-month inventory report.
*Qualifications:*
- Proven experience in inventory management or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory tracking systems and practices.
- Ability to analyze data and make inventory optimization recommendations.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
