Job Overview
Meta-IV is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong foundation in React, React Native, and Node.js to join our growing software engineering team. You will play a key role in designing, developing, and scaling our web and mobile applications. As a senior team member, you’ll not only write clean and efficient code but also contribute to architectural decisions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate cross-functionally with product and design teams.
What you will do
- Build, and maintain scalable full-stack applications using React, React Native, and Node.js.
- Work closely with product managers and designers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of devices and browsers.
- Write well-structured, maintainable, and tested code (unit, integration, and E2E).
- Participate in code reviews and set standards for quality and performance.
- Lead and participate in technical discussions and decision-making.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers.
- Monitor and improve backend and frontend performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Maintain and evolve CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Stay updated on the latest trends and tools in the JavaScript ecosystem.
- Stay up to date with the latest industry trends, best practices, new data analysis tools and strategies.
What we require
- 5+ years of professional experience building full-stack web applications.
- Deep experience with React and state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, Recoil, etc.).
- Experience building mobile apps using React Native (Android and iOS).
- Familiarity with mobile deployment pipelines (App Store, Google Play).
- Strong proficiency with Node.js and modern backend frameworks (e.g., Express, NestJS).
- Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and API design best practices.
- Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Experience with WebSockets, push notifications, or real-time systems.
- Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Vercel).
- Proficient in Git workflows and modern collaboration tools (e.g., GitHub, Jira, Slack).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- You must be based in Lagos or willing to relocate.
What will help you stand out
- Experience with TypeScript across the stack.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, Detox).
- Prior experience leading or contributing to large-scale architecture overhauls.
- Contributions to open-source or tech blogs are a plus.
- Understanding of native mobile modules or bridging in React Native.
- Certifications of your skills.
