Job Summary
The Sales and Research Officer will play a critical role in driving client acquisition and cultivating long-term partnerships with public sector stakeholders. The role involves identifying business opportunities, and supporting the design and delivery of innovative digital solutions in areas such as process automation, procurement, trade facilitation, and capacity development. The ideal candidate is a proactive, confident, and research-driven professional, skilled in engaging government decision-makers. Additional responsibilities include conducting market research, monitoring industry trends, and contributing to proposal development and strategic planning.
Job Responsibilities
1. Identify and develop new business opportunities within the public sector, with a focus on ministries, departments, agencies (MDAs), and development partners. (20%)
2. Conduct in-depth research on public sector challenges, digital transformation trends, and regulatory frameworks to inform solution design and business strategy. (15%)
3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize, develop, and refine digital solutions tailored to government operations (e.g., e-procurement, workflow automation, or trade facilitation systems). (15%)
4. Support proposal writing, bid preparation, and presentation of service offerings to prospective public sector clients. (10%)
5. Design and implement needs assessments and baseline studies for prospective or ongoing public sector projects. (10%)
6. Analyze data and feedback from pilot implementations or past engagements to iterate on existing digital solutions and improve client satisfaction. (10%)
7. Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to ensure long-term partnerships and repeat engagements. (10%)
8. Monitor policy developments, public sector reform initiatives, and donor-funded digital governance programs to inform proactive engagement. (5%)
9. Carry out other duties as assigned by the organization to support business growth. (5%)
Qualifications required for this role
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in any related field
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven experience in business development, research and development preferably in the public sector.

Job Location: Abuja
Work Hours: Monday-Friday (9 AM – 6 PM)
Work Mode: Hybrid (At least one day physical contact with team members).
Renumeration: N250,000 , Call allowance, Transportation allowance.
